How to Set Up Your Water Dispenser

Instructions

• STEP ONE

  Wash the dispenser

  Hand-wash* the dispenser, lid and reservoir with mild dish soap and rinse well.
  
  *Do not wash pitcher in dishwasher. Do not use abrasive cleaners.

  

• STEP TWO

  Rinse the filter

  With clean hands, rinse the filter with cold water for 15 seconds.

  

• STEP THREE

  Insert the filter

  With clean hands, line up the filter’s groove with the notch in the reservoir and press the filter firmly into place.

  

• STEP FOUR

  Set replacement reminder

  If your Brita has an electronic filter indicator, press and hold the RESET button for 2 seconds to activate it. If it comes with a sticker indicator, adjust the date so you’ll know when it’s time for a new filter (every 2 months for a Original(Standard) Filter).

  

• STEP FIVE

  Fill it up

  Open the flip lid and fill the reservoir with cold tap water*. Discard the first dispenser of water, or use to water plants. Please note that the system indicator will only count a reservoir fill if the lid is open for at least 15 seconds.
  
  *Hot water shouldn’t be used with the Brita® Refillable Filter (Max. 85°F/29°C – Min. 32°F/0°C).
